The E-Learning and Certification Platform is aimed at investment promotion agencies, economic development organizations, free zones and industrial parks, and all organisations and people involved in attracting Foreign Direct Investment
The system is a fully automated, continuously updated platform to enable e-learning and certification of investment promotion, business recruitment, and economic development staff. Users can review comprehensive training courses and take exams on the platform to get certified. Upon successfully completing an exam, the User instantly receives a signed Certificate indicating which courses they have passed

WAVTEQ, renowned globally as the leading authority on FDI and investment promotion, prepares all content for the platform. The content is practitioner based and is designed to directly help investment promotion and economic development officers with their work. The content is based on:

The E-Learning and Certification Platform is powered by a central database which allows WAVTEQ to continuously update course content, exam questions, and add new modules. As soon as new content is available it is automatically updated on your system. You will have access to a “Course Updates” inbox which will inform you of the most recent updates. Having access to constantly updated materials is a key benefit. This also enables WAVTEQ to quickly make changes to content based on user feedback so it is a constantly improving system aligned to the needed of investment promotion and economic development organizations
We have run over 100 FDI training workshops and we offer very attractive training packages combining an on-site training workshop at your organization with provision of the E-Learning & Certification Platform. A key weakness of most training workshops provided in the area FDI attraction is that there is no certification that attendees have actually learned what they need to learn from the workshop. Our unique training solutions address this by providing the the E-Learning and Certification Platform as part of our training workshop programs

Each organization receives their own system. An Account Management System is provided as part of each system. Administrators from your organization can add and remove Users and have an administration panel where they can see every User, what modules they have passed, and other key information. Its a very easy to use system
The E-Learning and Certification Platform is cloud-based on a highly secure platform hosted in the Republic of Ireland. User access is based on e-mail account domain names and passwords generated by the software. There are no system requirements - only access to normal speed internet. Training requirements for administrators are to absolute minimum - a 20 minute training session is all that is needed for an administrator to manage the Platform for your organization. No technical skills are needed.
Yes, our E-Learning and Certification Platform is also available as a pure SaaS solution. You can license our software and customize the Platform for your organization or for your clients. The whole platform, including the front end website, can be customized without any technical skills and with very minimal training. You can add your own website content, your own courses and materials, and your own exams, as well as adjust all system settings without any technical skills needed.

You can select which courses you want to complete. You can complete any course at any time. You can also go back to a course you have already completed to refresh you knowledge

You have a maximum of 3 hours to review the training materials for each course. You can stop and start your review of training materials at anytime to fit in with your work schedule. If you do not pass a course exam you have another 3 hours to review the training materials

You have 1 hour to complete the exam for each course

You can take the exam 3 times. If you still do not pass then you need to wait 1 week before retaking the exam

You need to get an 80% pass rate to complete the course. The system will also tell you which questions you answered incorrectly and what the correct answer is

The full training materials can only be viewed online. This is to ensure you always are viewing the most up-to-date training course (they are continuously updated) and so that when you take the course exam you cannot view the materials at the same time. However, you can download a summary presentation of the course once it is successfully completed which you can use to assist you in your day-to-day work. You can also go back at anytime and view the full course materials

To ensure integrity of the certification programme the correct answers are not provided unless you have completed the course. The appointed traning coordinator in your organization will have access to the correct answers

Please contact the training coordinator in your organization who can then discuss with WAVTEQ specific materials or courses which would be valuable to include. Please note that the course materials are continuously updated and new courses are added over time. If you have feedback on the courses, please contact use directly or through your training coordinator

Each time you complete a course you will be able to download your certificate from the E-Learning and Certification Portal. As you complete additional courses, your training certificate will be upated with the courses you have passed. When you pass all courses you will be certified with the Certificate of Excellence in FDI & Investment Promotion (CEFDI) and receive a special certificate

If you have been certified with the Certificate of Excellence in FDI & Investment Promotion (CEFDI) this means that you have passed all courses and have therefore demonstrated significant expertise across all key areas of investment promotion. If you have been certified with the Certificate of Excellence in FDI & Investment Promotion (CEFDI) you may consider becoming a Trainer and work with other staff in your IPA to help get them certified
